Convicted felon Matteo Salvini in Genoa
Color, 2:3 format
This smartphone snapshot shows Italian right-wing extremist politician Matteo Salvini (white shirt) exiting the prefecture of Genoa on June 15, 2018. At that time, Salvini was Italy' minister of the interior. This politician, who has been found guilty for numerous deaths of refugees on rescue ships he denied entry to Italy, had meanwhile been sentenced to several years in prison. In September 2022, however, he has once again become a minister under the government of former neo-fascist Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni.
